Introduction

The Holodomor, also known as the Great Famine and the Terror Famine, may be easily taught in a number of disciplines in curricula throughout Canada. The resources and lesson plans outlined are generic in nature and may be adapted to suit a variety of curriculum requirements.

Topics such as human rights, genocide, historical justice, and social justice may be found in courses on history, social studies, religious studies, politics, law, genocide and civics. The Holodomor is also an excellent topic of study for some interdisciplinary courses dealing with equity and human rights.
